The Samuhel Gospels in the Quedlinburg Cathedral Treasury is one of the most famous pieces in the collection. On the one hand, it is an incredibly precious early medieval piece, on the other hand, a story of theft and return of some pieces of the Quedlinburg treasure unfolds around it.
